Why does edited text sometimes look wrong?

Fix common failures in text replacement: wrong words, wrong font, warped layout.

Text is a special case in image editing. Even with strong text capabilities, models can fail if the prompt is ambiguous.

Fixes that usually work

  • Put the exact desired text in double quotes.
  • Keep it short and exact (avoid long sentences).
  • If you want the same typography, explicitly say:

“Keep the original font, size, color, spacing, and perspective.”

If there are multiple texts

Tell the model which one to edit

  • Replace the top banner text "..." with "...".

If the font changes unexpectedly

Strengthen the constraint

  • Preserve font family and style. Do not change the design.

If letters look distorted

Try a simpler edit first

1) Replace text only (minimal edit). 2) If needed, do style/lighting changes in a second run.
